PENTAX TO EXHIBIT NEW LENS MODELS PMA 2008

 

 

GOLDEN,CO (January 29, 2008)...­PENTAX Imaging Company will be showcasing three digital SLR interchangeable lenses that are currently under development under glass at PMA 2008 from January 31 to February 2 in Las Vegas. The lens models include two DA * (Star) models and one standard zoom as detailed below:

Product name (tentative): smc PENTAX-DA*55mm F1.4 SDM

  • A uni-focal moderate-telephoto lens offering a focal length equivalent to 84.5mm in the 35mm format
  • A large F1.4 maximum aperture to produce beautiful out-of-focus backgrounds
  • SDM system to assure super-quiet, extra-smooth autofocus operation
  • Launch Date TBA

Product name (tentative): smc PENTAX-DA*60-250mm F4ED [IF]SDM

¡¤         A telephoto zoom lens covering moderate- to super-telephoto ranges, with focal lengths equivalent to 92mm to 383mm in the 35mm format

  • SDM system to assure super-quiet, extra-smooth autofocus operation
  • Launch Date Scheduled For Summer 2008

Product name (tentative): smc PENTAX-DA17-70©LF4 AL [IF]SDM

  • A moderate-telephoto zoom lens offering a 4.1-times zoom ratio and focal lengths equivalent to 26mm to 107mm in the 35mm format
  • SDM system to assure super-quiet, extra-smooth autofocus operation
  • Launch Date Schedule For Summer 2008
