With our popular line of Optio digital cameras, Pentax has formed a partnership with ACD Systems to bundle a useful and valuable collection of extra software. This software allows you to work with your digital pictures, sound, and movie files in fun and unique ways. You can browse your collection of pictures with a full-featured image management program. You can edit your pictures, print them with a powerful print utility, and even stitch panorama pictures together. Further, Pentax and ACD Systems give you this software for free, with the purchase of your camera!

Please note, different Pentax camera models can contain different collections (bundles) of ACD software. Pentax has worked with ACD Systems over the years to add different ACD programs to the camera kits, and to upgrade the software that we do include with cameras. For example, the original Optio330 camera (2001) includes ACDSee 3.1 SR-1, while the Optio555 (late 2003) includes ACDSee 5, FotoSlate, Photostitcher, and FotoCanvas. This does not mean that Pentax will provide upgrades to owners of older cameras, or add programs that didn't originally come with those cameras.

However, owners of older cameras can purchase software upgrades directly from ACD Systems as they desire, and owners of the most current Pentax digital cameras will benefit from the most recent Pentax bundle of ACD software.
