1. What is the main difference between the 45 degree Angled eyepiece spotting scope and the Straight eyepiece spotting scope?

While all PENTAX spotting scopes are extremely comfortable to the user’s eye, the 45 degree angled eyepiece offers additional comfort to the back. The 45 degree angled eyepiece allows the user to sit upright and view from a bench, chair or even a blind.

 

2. Can I adapt a Camera to my PENTAX Spotting Scope so I can take pictures through it?

PENTAX offers a Camera Adapter Eyepiece (PF-CA35) which will adapt any PENTAX SLR camera to any PENTAX Spotting Scope including the New PF-65ED and PF-65ED-A Spotting Scopes. And for you PENTAX Digital Camera users, PENTAX now has a New Digital Camera Adapter (PF-DS1) which attaches directly to the Eyepiece of our new PENTAX Spotting Scopes (PF-65ED and PF-65ED-A) and will adapt the PENTAX Optio S5i, S4i, S4 and S Digital Camera’s only.

 

3. What Power offerings do your spotting scopes come in?

PENTAX offers you a wide variety of options when you purchase a PENTAX Spotting scope. The first option you have is to choose whether you want a Zoom Eyepiece or a Fixed Power Eyepiece. On the Zoom Eyepiece side, PENTAX offers Zoom power from 16X-48X all the way up to 32.5X-97.5X. If your need is Fixed Power, PENTAX offers fixed power eyepieces from 19.5X all the way up to 90X. One spotting scope with many eyepiece choices. Whatever you choose, your needs will be covered by PENTAX Spotting Scopes.

 

4. What do PENTAX Spotting Scopes come with?

All PENTAX Spotting Scopes come with a rugged black nylon carrying case complete with handles to carry with, D-rings for your favorite shoulder strap, easy access zipper compartments which enable you to use your spotting scope while in the nylon case, objective lens covers which snap on, ocular lens cover which slides on and a threaded eyepiece cover which screws in just in case you have your eyepiece out.

 

5. Can I mount my PENTAX Spotting Scope to other Tripods or do I have to use a PENTAX Tripod?

You may mount your PENTAX Spotting Scope to any standard threaded tripod. PENTAX also offers tripods for your PENTAX Spotting Scope in variable sizes to accommodate your various needs.

 

6. Can I use any other type of eyepiece in my PENTAX Spotting Scope?

Yes you can. Your PENTAX Spotting Scope will accept all standard 1 ¼ inch interchangeable telescopic eyepieces. However, we encourage you to use the PENTAX Eyepieces which are known for their exceptional clarity and full field of view.

 

7. What type of warranty does a PENTAX spotting scope come with?

PENTAX is proud to offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty for your PENTAX Spotting Scope.

 

8. Do I need a special type of eyepiece to look through my PENTAX spotting scope if I wear glasses?

Not with a PENTAX Spotting Scope. PENTAX is proud to offer exceptional Eye Relief on all their Spotting Scopes. Depending on the model of PENTAX Spotting Scope and PENTAX Eyepiece you have will determine the eye relief you receive. On fixed power eyepieces you will receive eye relief from 18-20mm. On zoom eyepieces you will receive eye relief from 11-15 mm on the XF Zoom and 18-22 mm on the Standard Zoom. The eye relief you receive from a PENTAX Spotting Scope eye piece is extremely comfortable and helpful to any user, even if you are blessed with the use of glasses.
